GIVEAWAY NOW CLOSEDLast year Gabi was in daycare for a few hours each week while I did some part-time teaching. We wanted to do something special that did not involve candy for her Valentines for her classmates. After poring through several ideas, we decided to make homemade Playdough in heart-shaped containers. They were a hit; so we are turning on the creative juices again this year! Wait until you see what we have up our sleeves!
And I want to see your ideas! So I am hosting a contest where two lucky people will win customized art for their kiddies' bedroom or playroom. I have done such art for baby shower gifts in the past and am looking to begin selling it on the web later this year. Here are a few
examples of my work:
The two winners will each receive a set of three square framed art pieces, customized to the theme and colors of their child's room.
So, I know you are just dying to know, how can I win this great prize??
You can enter in one of two ways:
1) Send me your original Valentine craft idea to jfrogster@gmail.com. Please include at least one picture and some simple steps on doing the project. The best ideas will be featured in an upcoming Valentine extravaganza post, and of course, the best idea will be awarded a set of customized artwork.
2) Comment on this post, telling me what kind of artwork you would LOVE to have in your kiddie's room. That will count as one entry in a drawing for the second set of artwork. Post about the contest in your blog and then leave another comment letting me know; and this will give you an additional entry in the drawing.
You may enter BOTH ways if you wish. You may also enter more than one idea. The contest opens on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 and will close at 12:00 midnight (PST) on Saturday, January 31, 2009. So get crafting and spread the word, people!
(find more giveaways here!)
GIVEAWAY NOW CLOSED! THANKS TO ALL THAT PARTICIPATED! WINNERS WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON THIS BLOG ON MONDAY, FEBRUARY 2, 2009.

ReplyDeleteSorry, I messed up on that last comment. I'm going to think about this and see what I can come up with; it will definitely test my creative thinking. I usually just copy other peoples ideas in this area, lol.
ReplyDeleteI'll add your giveaway to my Thursday post. Great giveaway.
Oooh...time to put on the thinking cap! I love the art work, Jeanette!
ReplyDeleteQuestion for you, Jeanette...is it art work with kids or art work in general?
ReplyDeleteThank you! I wasn't clear. Sorry. I was wondering if the art work I submit is supposed to be done WITH kids. I'd rather it not, but at least it would give me an excuse if it sucked! LOL
ReplyDeleteOK, what kind of artwork would I love in my daughter's room? Cats! Pink and white are the dominant colors in her room and I envisage cute illustrations of uber chic kitty cats looking glam in oversized sunglasses, dining al fresco, etc Kind of Audrey Hepburn, but with whiskers!
ReplyDeleteHey Jeanette, what a pest I am:) Your friend had a good question, but I'm guessing you answered it separately (or I'm missing the answer which is totally possible). Is it a kiddie valentine idea, or any idea?
ReplyDeletehey mykidsmom and everyone else, it can be a kiddie valentine idea but doesn't have to be.
ReplyDeleteOh, these are SO cute, thanks for the give away (I just clicked on here from MyKidsMom). I'd love to have a set for our kids' bathroom, which is blue and yellow with a "duckie" theme. Wouldn't that be cute???
ReplyDeleteNow to get my creative juices flowing for that contest!!

I posted this contest on my blog! I would LOVE to have some artwork for my boys' room. It is 2 different colors of blue & I have something on one of the walls. The other is just a giant BLUE WALL & bugs the junk out of me. There's a "transportation theme" of sorts going on in there, too. I have to say, Jeanette, you are some kind of woman! I wish I was as talented as you!
ReplyDeleteI just emailed you my idea :) As far as colors, I have a boy, jungle type greens and blues. Bugs are adorable too!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Valerie
My lil girls room is in pink and brown butterflies. I have an obsession with pink and brown. Love the work!
ReplyDeleteWe decorated our baby girl's room in green and yellow with froggies, turtles, and dragonflies. But we have a big expanse of wall with nothing on it and some wall-art in the same theme, maybe with her first, middle, and last names on them would be so cute.
ReplyDeleteYour work is wonderful!
I would love to have something special for my daughters room, she is now 1 1/2 and we still haven't decided how to decorate it. I have so many ideas, I would love pinks, whites & browns. I always wanted to decorate her room so pretty so this would be something extra special for her room. Thank you and PLEASE PICK ME!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI am wanting to decorate my daughters room when we move in a couple of months in cupcakes. I think a variety of cupcake patterns would be super cute!

ReplyDeleteMy son and daughter share a room, so it would either have to be gender-neutral or I could split them (one on each wall)
ReplyDeleteI would love to have some type of catipillars in Aqua Blue and Brown colors in my son's room. I don't know if you have ever seen a picture of what chromosome's look like, but he has Down syndrome, and the chromosomes kind of resemble catipillar bodies.
